10th District Forum

I couldn’t find any press coverage of a candidate forum held last night in Toccoa so here’s some of Bill Greene’s press release.

The candidate forum, sponsored by the North Georgia Teenage Republicans and the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce, was open to all declared candidates running for the June 19th special election. Four Republicans and three Democrats attended; two Republicans, including state Senator Jim Whitehead, failed to attend the forum and sent representatives instead. “We had a room full of my supporters tonight, many of whom weren’t my supporters when the night began,” said Greene. “I lived in Toccoa for a number of years, and it was great to see so many friendly familiar North Georgia faces. Most of all, it was great to get the same kind of positive reactions to our most pressing issues that I’ve been receiving all over the district. The people here, like the people I’ve been talking to all across the Tenth District, want to see our border secured, the Fair Tax passed, and our troops supported. And the people recognize that I’m the candidate who can make sure those issues are pushed, and pushed hard, in Washington, D.C.”

I get frequent press releases from Bill Greene but if other candidates want to send me their releases I’d be happy to receive them via email – simply click here I’m not promising to post everyone, or every word of anything, but if I find it interesting I’ll post it.

Mr. Greene, since your press release promotes what you believe to be a sizeable local support base, would you mind letting us know how many itemized contributions you’ve received from within the 10th District? (The 10th District is the big place just next to where you held your immigration thing the other day).

And apparently also next to where Voter Vault says Mr. Greene resides. Has he answered the question about whether he’s actually moved to the 10th district?

Nice of the “North Georgia TARs” to hold a forum when one of the candidates had a previous committment IN THE LEGISLATURE.

What a pack of idjits…oh, wait, let me guess: Tim Echols is involved?
