From Travis Fain:
Presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani spent time with Gov. Sonny Perdue late Wednesday afternoon as part of his first swing through Georgia as a national candidate.
No, they didn’t talk about Perdue joining the ticket as a vice presidential candidate, the former New York City mayor confirmed as he headed to his next engagement.
“We talked about the condition of the state,” the Republican hopeful said. “I explained why I was running.”
Giuliani also pitched to Perdue the idea of jumping on the “Join Rudy” bandwagon, but Perdue wouldn’t bite. Giuliani said he promised to keep pushing for the governor’s support, and his advice.
“I think he’s a very good governor,” Giuliani said.
