Something To Look Forward To

ImageIf you are over in the 24th State Senate District, tomorrow, Bill Jackson will officially declare his candidacy. He’ll be doing so on the steps of the Columbia County Courthouse, but I don’t have a time.

  1. drjay says:

i think at least one other person is running–all of whom have a base in columbia–iwould think regardless of who wins the 24th–the ultimate effect will be to increase columbia county turnout which in theory is to whitehead’s advantage in the other race…

  2. drjay says:

and it would be a shock for an open seat not to be heavily contested–benedict is not a problem any more than jackson is a “problem” for benedict–they are merely opponents…

  3. DAMY46 says:

Rumor has it that Brett McGuire will drop out…

It will be just Jackson and Benedict..

    Like I said—just a rumor…

  4. drjay says:

and that will be an interesting race–again of to columbia based candidates–which again would be a good thing for whitehead in the other race

  5. drjay says:

a problem benedict does have is that i swear i saw a website for him before but it appears to be “lost” based on a google search

  6. Holly says:

If Jackson has a web site, I know nothing about it. I did read through Lee Benedict’s web site, though. 🙂

  7. IndyInjun says:

McGuire apparently waited too late. Too many erstwhile supporters, including the most important one, had already committed to Jackson.

Do not count him out, for this race would be a freebie, a no-lose proposition.
