Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?

Payday lending has bit the dust a second time. Seeing as how giving Georgia consumers the “right” to enter into high interest loans was so important that it necessitated not one but two floor votes, maybe they can find some space on the supplemental rules calendar for just one vote that would give me the right to vote on Sunday alcohol sales in my little city.

Wait a second – don’t convenience stores have to get a license to sell hot dogs and such? (Not to mention prepackaged foods?) Does that make them a restaurant? Shouldn’t that mean they are allowed to sell alcohol on Sundays?

I love the Bull Moose shout outs, though, it doesn’t seem to be working as Erick has me on restriction still.

I’m glad payday lending died. It was right up there with SB 43 as bad legislation that wasn’t needed in Georgia.

    Bull,

    You’ll be free soon.

With March Madness almost over, the only thing to bet on around here will be how long it is before you’re banned again.
