From a Hanley Supporter

Congrats to the Fulton GOP for running what appears to be the most inept and divisive GOP County Commission this year. Bravo.

From a Hanley Supporter:

That description you have posted is spot on, except I was so disgusted with the whole thing, I didn’t realize Karen had floated that idea, but that sounds about right. Wendall was bordering on being out of line from the chair and wouldn’t entertain any ideas other than his own.

Also, it should be noted, that Mark Irle, current 1st Vice Chair, and amazing grassroots worker, who supported Hanley, withdrew his nomination for 1st Vice Chair after Mike won.
Totally embarrassing, and Hanley really did conduct himself with a high degree of class, calling off his supporters and avoiding an even bigger debacle.

Shawn Hanley is a class act and clearly demonstrated that on Saturday. While he may not have won the vote, he won over a lot of folks by his professionalism and by his placing party unity of self-interest. Bravo Shawn!

    Erick,
With all due respect, while I’ll acknowledge the greater import of the Fulton Co. convention, I think it’ll come in second to the Union County GOP convention when all the dust settles…

Losing Irle is a big loss to the Fulton GOP, he was basically the behind the scenes man that made everything happen. Dvorscak is going to be at a real loss without Irle.

    FULL DISCLOSURE:

Mountain Thinker thinks that because he was the other candidate, weren’t your Justin White?
