I think that USA Today had an article on Monday with a poll completed out of Iraq which runs counter to your arguement.

And why is it that whenever conservative Republicans don’t feel the media goes the way they prefer, the call it the mainstream media and suggest there is some larger plan at work…

I’d submit that after 4 years of complete incompetence at the highest levels of government due to Secretary Rumsfeld and Vice President Cheney that now we are finally able to see some progress only because America has woken up and realized that it is not unpatriotic to demand accountability. Thanks to Secretary Gates and the new General, maybe just maybe we’re starting to see a change on the ground in Iraq.

The stakes are way too high to pull out or cut and run or whatever the popular term for leaving is. We must stand our ground and demonstrate our resolve. However, our troops deserve everything in order to be successful and that starts with more troops to get the job done.

Had the President followed Senators McCain’s advice, we would have had more troops on the ground and Rumsfeld would have been fired much earlier than he was.

You cannot talk about Iraq without talking about the mistakes made, plain and simple.

If you want to own the success, you have to also take responsibility for the failures.

Aside from fellating McCain (what’s new?), the made-up “media conspiracy” line, and the invective used, where is what you’re saying — especially paragraphs 4, 6 & 7 — different from what I’m saying?

Jeff, stop taking what I say so personal… Those were just my comments and reflections from reading your article… Remember, this is a blog…
