Randall Announces

The front runner is in.

Lance Randall on Thursday urged Macon residents to imagine better possibilities for their city, as he declared his candidacy for mayor.

Macon has been an “incubator of greatness” in the past, but, like other cities across the country, it has fallen on tough times, Randall told an audience of about 100 who came to City Hall to hear him announce his entry into the race.

But a positive change in attitude and reinvigorated leadership can once again make prosperous the city that produced leaders in music, sports, business, commerce and entertainment, Randall said.

It also seems clear now that Kirby Godsey has decided he will not run and Robert Brown is still leaning toward running.
