Most Often Repeated Phrase When Asking Legislators About The Session

“It’s boring” or the variation “I’m bored.”

That seems to be the general consensus. With Peach Care in wait and see mode and not a lot of substantive issues being considered, a lot of the legislators are bored.

Oh, and the rumor that Senate Minority Leader Robert Brown is going to run for Mayor of Macon is picking up steam locally, with a couple of the would be mayoral candidates now looking at Senator Brown’s Senate seat instead. There is a growing local consensus that he will run, though no one knows for sure.

The contrarian view is that Senator Brown keeps his cards as close to his sleeves as possible, which is his preference. He’d not be able to do that so much as mayor.

You keep your cards close to your vest, not your sleeves. Though, you can keep something up your sleeve (This is a light hearted comment, not meant to incite a riot).

    I was thinking if they’re bored…

    a) not many laws are being passed which is a good thing

    …and…

    2) they can close up shop early and save taxpayers a lot of money.

If they’re bored, they could always “Go Fish” with Sonny…I heard he has a nice spread down near Disney.

If it hadn’t been for this Legislative session I would still be thinking evolution was a conspiracy of Charles Darwin.
