On GOPeach

by Erick on February 8, 2007

So, at the suggestion of a number of you, I have up a poll about GOPeach:

Should GOPeach be voted off the PeachPundit Island?

Take the poll here.

……..wow……………

…i didn’t know “they” could do that…….

kinda reminds me of that scene from “Toy Story”………..where the mean kid was in the Arcade, trying to hook one of the Martian dolls with “the claw”…..

what were they chanting…..i can’t remember……..”pick me” or something, seems like…..

“You just gone go and flang her out into the internets, Vern?”

“No mercy for what pitiful souls she might land on?”

That’s cold hearted dude………lol.

newworld February 8, 2007 at 6:19 pm

Nah. She’s really helping Scott Johnson out I think, with her crazy rambling.

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 6:33 pm

Aw Shux Ya’ll

I am sooo honored!

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 6:45 pm

I think having me stay on board is your way
of providing PEACH CARE! :)

Tommy_a2b February 8, 2007 at 6:54 pm

I need to know someone is crazier than me. Let her stay.

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 7:02 pm

Tommy, Newy, and Gator—

Pleeeeeeeeze help me GOTV!!!

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 7:03 pm

I am really behind in the polls.

Some people do not want Peach Care.

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 7:09 pm

I have only 8 people who want me.
I have 21 who are against me.
And 19 who do not care.

I am not sure how many people are on PP but I
can take a hint. I will just stop posting.

Bye!

GOPeach February 8, 2007 at 7:15 pm

PS.

Let’s just say…
Peach left the same day Anna Nicole Smith
died. Feb. 8 th – Peach and Anna gone.

Peach Out.

Bill Simon February 8, 2007 at 8:18 pm

Truthfully, I didn’t vote. My choice wasn’t up there…which is “I don’t care to the point where I don’t feel enough energy to vote either way.”

Adam Fogle February 8, 2007 at 8:42 pm

Nah-nah-nah-nah…
Nah-nah-nah-nah…
Hey-hey-hey…

I’m actually going to kind of miss her pathological zealotry. Kind of.

We need a montage to the song “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter.

bowersville February 8, 2007 at 9:23 pm

I’ve resisted comment on as many round and round in a circle GOPeach threads as possible, but I have yielded to common sense and here goes:

1) A front page poster should start a Peach thread bi-weekly, it will last three weeks with 150–200 comments. Peach should be content.

2) Limit Peach’s comments to these bi-weekly threads.

3) Those that do not wish to monitor these threads can avoid them.

4) Those who wish to engage Peach can have at it without me and others like me trudging through the…well you know.

5) Religious comment; ie. Bible lessons, be limited to the Peach thread, after all this is a political web site.

6) If Peach responds on any political thread, all will resist by ignoring her comment.

7) Peach has an agenda, destroy any Republican credibility, wise up!

8) Ignore the poll, Peach is destroying PP, and the Democrats love it.

9) Before you flame me, I know about CBH, R-RS spoke our wedding vows before we departed on El-Al for Israel. RS has been in my home for the evening anticipating the next days discovery with his metal detector (CLUE for you that know he’s from Miami).

10) Refrain from speaking of CBH on this forum, it’s not proper.

Jeff Emanuel February 8, 2007 at 9:30 pm

I like those ideas, B’ville

gatormathis February 8, 2007 at 9:46 pm

See Bill…….I knew that.

Same here.

This is the internet. No trees were cut down.

Nobody was “cut” other than verbally.

Mindless chit-chat. Arguing with figments of unknown matter on the other side of the table. Or agreeing with them.

Hopefully the “wars” of tommorrow will be handled this way.

How hard would it be to convince you “not” to be a suicide bomber?

You don’t disarm a suicide bomber by hollering don’t pull that switch you dumm summ b****!!

What you do is pull up beside him in a bar while he’s sitting there commiserating his new job.

He’s thinking about, “Are all them virgins going to be worth it?”

You get him a beer and say, Hey man…..you look like one o’ them ole Muslim boys. Boy…..ya’ll some sports. I suureee don’t see how ya’ll pull them bomb switches, blowing yourself all up and stuff.

Blooooooodd……….and guuutttss…………and braiiiiinnnssss…….everywhere. (spoken in true “deer camp” slang). Thattt’sss nassssss teeeeee!!!!!!!

Al-JASears&RoebuckAreera is in a mid ga town to interveiw the MMM. Take that back and print it in your paper.

And let them take back some Josey Wales movies………especially where Josey tells the bounty hunter,” Dying ain’t much of a “living” boy…”………..

I ain’t much on telemarketers, but I sure would hate to be the fellow trying to recruit me for the next vacant “bomber” slot.

“All you have to do is just “push” the button. And don’t worry, if yours “fails”, we’ll simply take care of it for you.”

I’m a nice enough guy, but I beleive I’d be a hard sell on that one.

Maurice Atkinson February 8, 2007 at 9:50 pm

Nope, ya wanna drive down readership then yes. So what if he/she is opinionated.

Liberty Belle February 8, 2007 at 10:23 pm

I am a blog reader, but rarely post. I have been on Peach Pundit off and on and I have actually laughed out loud several time when I read GOPeach. I think she has quite a sense of humor.

Liberty Belle February 8, 2007 at 10:25 pm

Hey, what did you guys do with GOPeach? She is funny. I actually laugh out loud when I read her posts.

DougieFresh February 8, 2007 at 10:45 pm

It’s a bad idea to censor people on a discussion board unless they are truly being disruptive. Peach never rose to that level, no matter how annoying she may be.

Do you want this to become the Free (Bush Bot) Republic?

Adam Fogle February 8, 2007 at 10:56 pm

Dougie,

It’s not about censorship, it’s about giving PP a bit of a “reality TV edge.” You know, that crap you kids enjoy so much these days.

Plus, we put the decision to a vote by the people… sounds perfectly democratic to me.

DougieFresh February 8, 2007 at 10:59 pm

Adam,

I had a built in “skip to the next comment” routine to everything she posted, so I guess I never gota feel for how she posted.

A couple years back Free Republic started purging members who criticized George W Bush, and I guess I had flashback to that.

Perhaps you stay the sentence and offer her probation.

In summary, kicking people off makes the baby jesus cry!

bowersville February 8, 2007 at 11:15 pm

This is not about democratic rule, a vote by majority is nothing but mob rule. Let Peach stay, within rules, this is a REPUBLIC!

Adam Fogle February 8, 2007 at 11:21 pm

Looks like the Mob says 42-18 she goes with 27 not caring. Looks like the “mob” has spoken and she’s on her way out.

I voted no because I find her amusing. But if it is the will of the masses, then so be it.

bowersville February 8, 2007 at 11:27 pm

42-18, 27 not caring, that math is too simple. Look at it this way, 18 against plus 27 not caring equals 45. So the vote is 45-42 pro Peach. The methodology of the poll is skewed!

Rick Day February 8, 2007 at 11:31 pm

Peach makes me feel good about myself and my belief system.

Peach reaffirms my position on Political Christians ™.

Let It Be.

Liberty Belle February 8, 2007 at 11:46 pm

What is a Political Christians?

Liberty Belle February 8, 2007 at 11:48 pm

I mean, what are Political Christians? Do you mean Christians who are politically active?

Liberty Belle February 8, 2007 at 11:56 pm

I find it interesting that 42 % voted “yes” and 27 % took the time to vote “I don’t care”. How can we vote “I don’t care?”. That is not a “yes”. It seems to lean more to ” no”. I think it means
42% say they want GOPeach to go and 45% are “okay” with her.

Adam Fogle February 9, 2007 at 12:00 am

Maybe we should have a poll on the poll itself… see what percent think “I don’t care” means “no,” what percent think it means “I don’t care,” and what percent “don’t care what it means.”

Liberty Belle February 9, 2007 at 12:03 am

Good idea Adam. I have never seen a ballot say ” I don’t care”. It’s always “yes” or “no”. It seems “I don’t care” is libertarian.

GOPeach February 9, 2007 at 12:44 am

Okay —

So are we going to have another election???

DougieFresh February 9, 2007 at 12:50 am

I just want every vote to count.

GOPeach February 9, 2007 at 1:19 am

Early and often!

GOPeach February 9, 2007 at 1:24 am

Liberty-

I am concidered a “Political Christian”. People on this blog get mad at me…

It’s a political blog and Christianity is not popular.. So if you are a Christian—

DO NOT MENTION IT ON PP ISLAND!!!
It is sooooooooo not cool!!!

Bill Simon February 9, 2007 at 1:32 am

Let’s be honest here: Peach HAS met the bar halfway…she has worked on typing like us regular folks, which, for me, really WAS the most aggravating thing about her.

As far as Adam’s claim that (and I quote): “Plus, we put the decision to a vote by the people… sounds perfectly democratic to me.”…I don’t recall the right to free speech to be “up” for negotiation in this Republic.

Forget the voting-off the PP island crap. Let the girl stay. She needs to be educated. :-)

debbie0040 February 9, 2007 at 7:41 am

I can’t believe that some of you believe in censorship.

Why stop with Peach? Why not go censor everyone else that has a differing opinion from yours? What is the matter, can’t handle debate from a strong, spirited woman that has an opinion different from yours? Are some of you men that intimindated?:)

debbie0040 February 9, 2007 at 7:53 am

I don’t recall a male poster subjected to a vote such as this and there are many that should be held to the same standard as you hold GOPeach.

did not realize that there was so many male chauvinist sexist pigs on PP :) :)

Jeff Emanuel February 9, 2007 at 9:47 am

Peach, stop the “persecution complex.” You sound like RR or a GaTech CR. You are preachy, annoying, and incoherent – THAT is why people do not like you; NOT because you’re a Christian. I talked to you about ALL of this in the note I left you on the front page the other day.

Stop trying to be a victim; you sound like Nancy Pelosi or, again, a GT CR. Just be an adult, and stop spewing invective at everybody here out one side of your mouth, while claiming superior Christianity out of the other.

I voted for you to leave — but if you can please grow up, then I have no problem with your staying. Aren’t you a counselor or psychologist? Do you teach all of your victims patients ( ;-) ) that they are persecuted victims? I’d hope not. So please stop acting like one yourself.

Again, I believe that you have nothing but the best of intentions – but at some point “intentions” have to be replaced by “correct decisions.” How about starting now? :-)

Adam Fogle February 9, 2007 at 10:02 am

THAT is why people do not like you; NOT because you’re a Christian.

Great point Jeff. I’m going to guess that the majority of PP readers, like myself, consider themselves Christians. She isn’t a pain because of her religion but because of her persistent verbal persecution of others.

I don’t recall the right to free speech to be “up” for negotiation in this Republic.

Bill, you’re mistaken, PP is NOT a Republic.

Again, I voted for her to stay merely for selfish entertainment purposes. But inevitably, this is going to be Erick’s decision. Like it or not, PP is more of a dictatorship than a Republic – as it should be, considering it’s his baby and we all just pitch in.

The bottom line is that, if you expect to come on this site, funded and operated by Erick, and you disrespect his rules – written or unwritten – he has every right to toss your ass.

I hope he doesn’t toss her, because she’s the class clown and it’s good to have that around sometimes, but it’s up to Erick.

techguy69@yahoo.com February 9, 2007 at 10:34 am

btw….whats going on with the Fulton Republican Chairman race?

DougieFresh February 9, 2007 at 10:36 am

Jeffy,

Are GTCR’s preachy and arrogant now. Back in my day, they were certainly arrogant (hey it’s tech), but they were never preachy.

Keep the Peach!

Jeff Emanuel February 9, 2007 at 10:51 am

Haha “Jeffy”? That’s a name I’m not usually called – but it does mesh well with “Dougie”

Demonbeck February 9, 2007 at 11:15 am

Can we have a poll on getting the unread comment section to work properly?

buzzbrockway February 9, 2007 at 11:16 am

I voted to let her stay. LINDA deserved to be kicked off because she spent most of her time expounding on the virtues of David Duke and the evils or race mixing. You may not agree with GOPeach but she’s no LINDA.

Obviously it’s Erick’s call, but unless someone is a racists or some such I don’t think we should kick them off the island.

newworld February 9, 2007 at 11:26 am

Yeah, she harmless. Crazy, but harmless.

rugby_fan February 9, 2007 at 11:33 am

I second Demonbeck’s suggestion.

GOPeach February 9, 2007 at 12:34 pm

Hey Erick-

They like me. Now we need to know-
Do you like me???? That is the question!

Jeff-

With a name like EMMANUEL Iwould think you would not be so sensative. sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeze!

I am not ” spewing invective at everybody”!!!
Most of the time I am playing with you!!!!
I am having fun Jeff!!! Just like you do!!!!

I know YOU VOTED for me to LEAVE because you did not like the way I said you and Ralph had smelly poop…. I know that made you mad and I am sorry Jeff. I REALLY am sorry that I was so graphic.

I have a house full of boys and I am a little gross sometimes. Please forgive Peach! She’s a little fuzzy.

Thank you for believing that I have nothing but the best of intentions. I will do better from here on out and I hope I can swing you and 41 other voters back over.

Thanks for shooting straight. I respect that.

Sooooo Erick…

Jeff and I are cool now. What’s your take?

DougieFresh February 9, 2007 at 12:42 pm

I move for a vote on Demon’s suggestion.

MelGX February 9, 2007 at 12:43 pm

“8) Ignore the poll, Peach is destroying PP, and the Democrats love it.”

Not only do we love it, but taking a page from the PP playbook, I’d like to invite GOPeach (and any other PP misfits, embarrassments and bastard relations), to post a guest entry on Blog for Democracy.org.

Bill Simon February 9, 2007 at 12:52 pm

Mel,

Let’s be cereal (sic) for a moment: You guys at BFD (nay, even on Moveon.org) have ZERO sense of humor within your postings.

Without the natural ability of offering intelligent sarcasm (something that appears to be innate in more Republicans than Democrats by a wide margin), you might as well offer the reader This Week With George Stephanopolous for their viewing pleasure.

Brian from Ellijay February 9, 2007 at 12:59 pm

I concur with most of the above stated comments. No one should be ostracized for differing opinions, we should be the website of inclusiveness and not exclusion. And I am sure that the advertisers would agree.

Brian
