    If this action is being taken to stop speeding because it is dangerous, then we should be working to stop it, not profit from it. If it is not dangerous enough to merit $200 in extra fines, then stop trying to use the criminal code to extract more money from taxpayers.

    It breeds contempt for the law (and for me contempt for the legislature) when crimes are created and punished based on how much money can be raised easily.
