While C. Jack Studies To Become A Terrorist

Macon’s levee is in danger of losing its certification.

Macon’s levee is one of about 140 nationwide that is so weak or inadequate that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers may no longer be able to certify its safety, the corps announced today.

Look for flood insurance to skyrocket.

  1. Dang Erick, where you been bro, Doc Holliday has been working on the levee issue since 1994.
You are forgiven, you were probably in middle school. But don’t be in comic book reading mode when you visit Doc Holliday’s extensively researched websites about the Levee..

Monopoly insurers don’t need a mass scare tactic to raise rates. But surely we’re safe from fear mongering insurance carpetbaggers with cousin John Oxendine on the job?

  2. LymanHall says:

Nice headlines. Terrorist? Blow himself up? I thought we were beyond this type of stereotyping…Elevate the debate.

  3. Erick says:

Lyman, you must have gotten us confused with PeachPitPundit.com.

We actually aim to stay in the gutter, or Qutar, whichever you favor.

  4. rugby_fan says:

Actually Erick, you would be correct. I am a sucker for falconry, artificial islands, and indoor ski slopes. Ergo; Dubai takes the prize.

Dubai also hosts international Rugby matches with regularity.

So Qatar, the onus is on you mate.

  5. SpaceyG says:

Love those Dubai hotels. Talk about posh! Just ask Dallas Austin. (Makes me wonder if he didn’t have to convert, at gunpoint, just to get his dumb ass outta that jail? Not that he’s a Muslim now, but who knows what you have to do to get out of a UAE jail alive after drug possession.)

  6. Calybos1 says:

“Sudies to become a terrorist.” Oh, what a funny, funny guy.

I wonder if you’d tell a seminary student he’s studying to be a child molestor?

  7. bowersville says:

“Let me assure everyone in Macon, you are safe, I have spoke to Mayor Ellis about the levee and in the words of Huey Long ‘the levee will never break in our lifetime.” Ray Nagin, August 28, 2005

  8. Overincorporated Fulton says:

Every time I get close to thinking you’re reasonable and measured, you disappoint me.

While C. Jack studies to become a terrorist? This conclusion because he converted to Islam?

I don’t know which is worse…the possibility that you don’t know that’s morally objectionable or the possibility that do you know and just don’t care. Way to downgrade yourself.

  9. Hmm, guess somebody must be reading our mail.

Insurer retreats on coastal policy pricing
Mary Landers reports that St. Paul Travelers Insurance Cos. has backed off what Georgia Insurance Commissioner John W. Oxendine called “prejudicial pricing” on homeowners policies in Georgia’s coastal counties. Oxendine on Friday canceled a planned hearing into the matter. According to Oxendine’s prior order, St. Paul Travelers had planned to reduce commissions paid to agents on homeowners policies sold in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Glynn, Liberty and McIntosh counties. Oxendine called it a “back door” way to write fewer policies on the coast.

Good work & timing Cousin John.
