“I think public opinion continues to be rampant in support of the (National Ventures location) across the street and equally rampant in its opposition to the (location proposed by Noble), yet it continues to move forward,” Lewis said. “I don’t understand that.”
Although the authority in November adopted an inducement resolution for Noble’s hotel, Lewis said that was done because the authority felt an obligation to “facilitate the decision City Council made.”
“We went on record that we were opposed – prior to us adopting the resolution – to the hotel being located in the parking lot,” Lewis said.
How dumb is that? You oppose the hotel, but you adopt an inducement resolution to have it built. Idiocy. And that, my friends, is why people are leaving Bibb County.
