I Say Speed. Drive like a bat out of hell.

Yes, yes. I know you are suppose to drive 55mph on I-75. But this just rubs me the wrong way.

f I-75 seems mysteriously to be moving at the speed limit this week — not flying at breakneck pace or doing the congestion crawl — a local group may have made its mark.

The group CARma, brainchild of ad agency owner Tim Martin, plans to make I-75 the site of an experiment this week. Starting today, CARma, which claims hundreds of companies and drivers have pledged to adhere to its principles, will ask drivers to just follow the rules of the road. That includes not breaking the speed limit, Martin said.

We all know that you can’t speed southbound on I-75 because of the damned Hudson Bridge Road exit. Every jackass on earth it seems, decides to drive in the left lane until they get to the I-675 merge and then they think “Holy Crap, I’ve got to be in the right lane to get off at Hudson Bridge Road,” and the rest of us poor shlubs are forced to hit our brakes while these idiots cross over to exit.

To satisfy Rugby_fan’s daily quota: this idea must die.

The new Hudson Bridge Road exit is a primary example of the flawed logic of you damned road builders. It was always bad but not it is one of the levels of Dante’s Hell. I literally plan my trips south around my speculation on how bad the back up will be.

It’s an abomination. A prime example of government idiocy. The damned D.O.T. doesn’t get a pass on government idiocy. And the wild thing is it affects northbound too! And Northbound actually opens up to more lanes at 675! How the hell is this possible?

My theory is that speeding can either kill ya or save your butt. That is, you can either just miss an accident by going over the speed limit, or, get involved in one by speeding.
