This is awesome.
It was just another pointless roll-call vote to commemorate some national trivia — in this case, “commending the University of Florida Gators for their victory in the 2006 Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and for winning the national college football championship.”
Of the 415 representatives on hand to vote, 414 said YEA. The honorable Jack Kingston of Georgia’s 1st district voted against it.

And, what if the Resolution was a pointless one calling for praise of the Georgia Bulldogs?
In fact…I’ll bet if we go back in time, we might just find one that has already been done by a Republican-led House, and Hero Jack voted for it then.

It is worth pointing out that John Barrow voted present on this res. This from the guy who ended his radio ads with “and i approve of those dawgs to.” So in the Context of this bill a present vote is basically a no vote.
So it makes me wonder is john barrow trying to hide the fact that he is Mr.Johnie Athens, or is he just lacking the testicular fortitude of congressman Kingston, to stand up for his beloved bulldogs.
