Foreclosures in Georgia

We’re number 3!

Georgia had a decrease in foreclosure activity in December, but its foreclosure rate was the third highest in the nation for the third month in a row, according to RealtyTrac’s December 2006 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report.

Georgia racked up one new foreclosure filing for every 480 households, the report shows. This marks an 8.5 percent drop from November 2006, but a 114.7 percent spike over December 2005.
