Even UGA Gets In On The Act

President Adams wants UGA to focus on healthcare.

he University of Georgia can play a key role in the state’s public health challenges by establishing a health science campus at a Navy facility in Athens that is being shut down, UGA President Michael F. Adams said Thursday.

In his annual state-of-the-university address, Adams said the College of Public Health, established in 2005, would anchor the new campus at the facility which had been the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens.

Is that the first step to a UGA School of Medicine? Would we trust a doctor from such a school, particularly the days following the Georgia-Florida game?
