Amos, II is becoming President of the company where his dad serves as CEO. Despite the snarky title, seirous congrats to him. Unlike many companies, Paul Amos, II proved himself in the field before rising in the company. And I’m damned jealous that we’re the same age and he’s now the President of AFLAC — and, I bet, a better golfer.
Aflac, the Columbus-based seller of supplemental insurance, said Tuesday it named Paul S. Amos II, president of the company.
Amos, the 31-year-old son of Aflac chairman and chief executive officer Daniel P. Amos, had been chief operating officer of the company’s U.S. operations. He will continue in that capacity, the company said.
The younger Amos, who joined the company in 2002 as state sales coordinator for North Georgia, which led the region to become Aflac’s No. 1 territory for new annualized premium sales.
