Happy Cyber Monday!

I never knew there was such a thing, but CNN has been running information about this new tradition all morning long. And if CNN says it is so, then the Lord hath speaketh and doth declare…

Anyway, for those like me that have never heard of Cyber Monday, apparently it is the internet equivalent of retail’s Black Friday. Shop.org has created a site with tons of links to all sorts of deals – most for today only – offered by online retailers. Even better, the site says that all proceeds will be donated to its Ray M. Greenly Scholarship Fund.

So if you have yet to begin your holiday shopping and want some pre-pre-last-minute deals, then hit up some of the great Cyber Monday discounts. You will not have to deal with any long lines, but with millions taking advantage of the massive discounts, be prepared for some lag/delay when loading pages.

But it is definitely a great way to save a few bucks on that 60-inch Flat-Panel Hi-Def plasma TV for grandma. And, assuming you are like me and make sure to buy American, you will be doing your part to stimulate the economy and the like.

Oh boy, 4 percent off at Omaha Steaks…
