It was the class thing to do.
Congress has been saved from another Bush rubberstamp! Hooray!
But I do agree that it is a good thing Burns conceded.
Max Burns and his wife Lora are two of the most genuine and kind people I know. I know, as they do, that God has a greater plan for them.
Indeed.
Bull Moose……
I worked as hard as possible to defeat Max Burns. However, I agree that he and his wife have a lot of good in them and that we need folks like them to restore this country.
All he need do for me to support him is to recognize that he abandoned the principles of the GOP – as have MANY others – and try to make amends.
No one is resignatio ad infernum.
I don’t put Max’s loss at his footsteps so much as the consultants who are beholden to a campaign formula that takes the character out of people like Max Burns.
These consultants and campaign staff know of no other way to run other than to be partisan shrills and thus, the campaigns they run (and lose) reflect that.
With that said, Max also had some bright talents, however, the partisan consultants he entrusted did him a great disservice.
Max & Lora are two of the BEST people you will ever meet. No-one worked harder than Max on his campaign. He is awesome.
I wish he and Lora all the best and they are in my prayers.
