Final anecdotal evidence re: turnout.

Driving home tonight I passed three polling places (all within a mile of my house). At 6:30 pm, all three had packed parking lots – no visible lines – but lots of activity. As the SoS has said this afternoon, turnout will be higher than the 48% originally predicted. Gwinnett will most surely exceed 48% but don’t ask me to say what turnout will be because I have no idea.

I’m heading over to the Gwinnett County Elections office to view initial returns, then off to Sonny’s party. I’ll check in as often as I can.

Also in Gwinnet, slightly lower turnout than expected in my precinct, a very Democrat precinct in Norcross. Early voting is Gwinnett is more than expected and early voting in Clayton County was less than expected.
