Actions, and even inactions have consequenes. Pulling out with great haste from Iraq, no matter if you think we had a right to be their in the first place, is irresponsible.

Personally, I think we should just limit wars to executing the leaders of countries like Iraq or Iran until one is in that we can support. Eventually there will be no idiots willing to take the post.

That is about the most truthful statement one can make in a political ad. It is unlikely the Democrats will enact their ajenda in Iraq, but if we do cut and run, consider this Vietnam II.

Lee Morris is a good man that has worked hard for racial relations. He’s a social moderate and he never spent a dime comparing John Eaves to a terroist or talking about how if Eaves were elected the Bible will be prohibited in Fulton County.

Eaves ran one of the worst race baiting campaigns that appealed to stupid people that I’ve ever seen. His two main issues were calling on Lee Morris to ask for Dennis Hastert’s resignation and his “I hate white people” commercial.

The fact that he won is scary and if John Lewis is correct and our lives depend on the new Fulton County commission then I suggest a migration to Cobb or Milton.

It’s not that hard to find all the RNC smear and fear campaign tactics if you’d lift two fingers to actually look for it.

I don’t know if Pitts was given the same opportunity, but if so he should be commended for rising above the trivialization of the civil rights movement. If the children today are taught that moderate Republican Lee Morris is the equivalent of Bull Connor and the attack dogs, then it will inevitably diminish the reverence their generation will have for those who truly sacrificed during the Civil Rights movement.

I think it was very short-sighted on Franklin’s part. Sure you managed to get John Eaves elected, but now your ridiculous commerical will be the battle cry for the new, very wealthy county of Milton leaving behind a very poor county of Fulton.

How many people other than African-Americans are motivated by thinking of “fighting off dogs and water hoses in the ‘60s “? And since when do Republicans represent a threat to “The efforts of Martin and Coretta King, Hosea Williams, Maynard Jackson and many others”?

This ad is blatant deception and irresponsibility by Franklin, Lewis, Young, and Eaves. These people are supposed to be “respected” members of society. Yeah, right.

That in itself is scary enough.
