Confession About The Flier

Miss Angela did it.

Angela Moore, a former Democratic candidate for secretary of state, said she sent the flier by e-mail to 42,000 people Wednesday. Volunteers started distributing 1.3 million copies by hand and through the mail to voters across the state, she said. Moore said she has been delivering batches of them to volunteers in DeKalb, Fulton, Henry, Clayton and Rockdale counties, which have sizeable black populations.

“The same thing that Sonny is doing by signing that ID bill is in essence the same exact thing as turning a hose on people and letting the dogs loose,

This flier is just another example of the new lows that the Democratic Party of Georgia and, even more so, Mark Taylor have stooped to try to overcome lagging numbers in the current polls — remember that these gross attack ads come from a candidate and a party that is 20+ points down in almost all the current polls. With Perdue again above the magical number of 50%, the Taylor camp and the GA Dems are once again baselessly attacking Perdue.

The fact of the matter is that Mark Taylor is such as lack luster candidate that not only is he polling around 30% in state-wide polls, but he also can’t rally support the traditional Democratic base. Realizing that he is loosing ground to independents, undecided, and now Democrats, Taylor and the democrats send this horrendous attack advertisement. What more can you expect from a candidate that lacks real ideas and real solutions for the state of Georgia, and because of his recent actions, it is even more evident now than ever that he also lacks integrity. He is a candidate that the state can’t trust.

I would like to see this list of folks “across the state, predominately white Democrats” who supposedly paid for this ad. If my suspicions are correct, Fred Taylor’s name is at the top of the list. He already pays for Mark’s home and salary, but he also floats his son’s campaign with a loan valued at over $1 million. Why wouldn’t he be the main financier in this horrible attack ad?

Miss Angela is a TOOL. Thank you for admitting to doing this flier. This has all but assured us that you will never run as a Democrat in a statewide race and get any votes. There is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Angela is an idiot. She is alowing herself to be used to the detriment of the black community. Nothing positive will come out of this stupid flyer. Bad for the State of Georgia and for African-Americans!

This is similar to the race-baiting being done by the NAACP in Tennessee over the anti-Ford RNC ad.

The similarity is that both moves are going to backfire. The NAACP blasting Tennessee voters as “racist” for voting for Corker will only result in Tennessee voters voting for Corker. The same thing will happen here.

Georgians, like Tennesseans, are sick of being called “racists” every time they vote against a black politician. It’s insulting and it’s getting old. Stuff like this is just a bad attempt at taking a cheap shot and not planning for the actual impact.

    Fogle,

I’m not being a smartazz, but I never thought Ford had a real chance to win because he is black.

I really think racism still exists on both sides. It’s not the exaggerated segregation we grew up with but I definitely think it’s still around.

As far as Miss Angela’s flier, I think it’s her right to do and she’s been very upfront about it….which is more than you can say about a lot of folks.

All elections have these type of things including Sonny’s mailer regarding Taylor on radical homosexuality.

Unless she disclosed herself somewhere on the flier, I wouldn’t say she’s been “very” upfront about it.

I think she received them printed already.

She hasn’t ducked the media at all. I think she believes in what she is doing.

Yes it’s so forthcoming to claim that 300,000 mailers magically appeared on her doorstep. She may believe in what she is doing, but the people who are actually behind this project are too ashamed to be publicly associated with it.

I sure the reasoning by the strategists behind this project was something like, “Well I’m sure as hell not going to put my name on a piece like this, let’s get that nutcase Angela Moore to do it.”
