Atlanta = Hockey Town USA?

It’s Friday! Despite all the heavy duty political stuff going on I want to pause and send some love to the Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers are in first place and off to their best start in franchise history. Hopefully they’ll make the playoffs this year.

UGA takes on lowly Mississippi State and the Dawgs should right the ship while #13 Georgia Tech takes on #12 Clemson in Death Valley. It looks like the AJC’s Tony Barnhart has jumped on the Tech bandwagon as he predicts a Tech victory.

One more thing: Just in time for Halloween, John Mark Karr has moved back to Atlanta. Yikes!

Have a great weekend folks. I’ll be at the South Gwinnett-Brookwood football game tonight to harass the good people in attendance and try to convince them to vote for Sonny. I’ll spend the rest of the weekend in many other parts of Gwinnett hunting down unsuspecting potential voters.

Oh yea, here’s a picture for my Clemson friends. It was taken shortly after Goose Godsey hit Kerry Watkins for the game winning TD in 1998.

After The Catch

    I definitley would not want to go trick-or-treating in Chastain Park, where Mark Kerr is currently living. I heard he was going to get a job as the playground supervisor.

    Don’t you think there were a lot of leg-humpers thinking the exact same thing going into the big homecoming game against Vandy?!?!!?!!!!
