Only One Person Discriminated Against In Twiggs Runoff

At least that is what Democrats will take from this.

In the first test of Georgia’s new voter identification law, only one Twiggs County voter out of 220 did not have a picture ID in Tuesday’s school board runoff election.

By a vote of 164 to 55, Yolanda Height beat incumbent Greg Odoms in the Democratic primary for the District 1 seat of the Twiggs County Board of Education.

Height will face Republican Emmitt Sherling in the Nov. 7 general election.
