I’ve racked my brain and scoured the deep dark reaches of the internet trying find something interesting going on today related to politics here in Georgia.
I’ve come up empty.
However, I did want to point out that gas prices have dropped dramatically over the last month. According to AtlantaGasPrices.com, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in metro-Atlanta is now $2.692 compared to $2.957 last month. Some stations are charging as low as $2.55. It’s still higher than the average price of $2.498 one year ago, but that was pre-Katrina, and before the most recent developments in the Middle East. It almost makes me want to drive around aimlessly. 🙂
Other interesting stuff:
The Little League Baseball team from Columbus will play for the World Championship today at 5 pm.
Students at Georgia Tech are camping out to get tickets to Saturday’s game against Notre Dame.
