Bam! Zap! Slam! Pow!

Is it just me or are the second place finishers going into the runoffs throwing lots and lots of punches? I guess promoting themselves didn’t work so well. The one thing I’m noticing is that the first place people aren’t really hitting back so hard. Perhaps that makes sense, though every once in a while its nice to throw a decent punch.

It does indeed seem that way Erick. I wonder what happens on Tuesday. Can the number 2 guys pull it off or are the first place finishers going to close it.

Either way, I just hope that Bill Stephens doesn’t get elected to sit in a position over elections. With his ethical issues, I don’t think he’s capable of sitting in as the Chief Elections Officer of Georgia.

kemp is throwing punches for the first time. stephens is now just making up stuff that he thinks might stick. it’s really sad to see the levels that some people (stephens) will go to to get elected.

in the case of kemp and black i like and respect them both. black is more qualified. sorry bullmoose we disagree on that one. in the case of stephens, there are used car sales men that have more credibility.

Kemp is making accusations about Gary being a liberal Democrat that is not true
Stephens is making accusations about Karen being a liberal that is not true. All four candidates in the runoff are conservatives.

Both Handel and Black are conservatives and are supported by conservatives. Look at their list of supporters. Do you think these people would support liberals?

Both campaigns are desparate trying to make up ground with voters. That is normal.

Just because Kemp just started the attacks does not make it right. The Kemp campaign and Kemp supporters think it is ok for Brian to vote in the Democratic primaries but not Gary. Brian has his reasons and so does Gary. Gary was on the 2004 Bush-Cheney Farm Team and active with this team. It really sounds like he supported Kerry. Yea right.

I think Brian has been an outstanding Senator but he is not qualified for Agriculture Commissioner. Gary is the one that can answer tough questions from the AG Community on the campaign trail. Kemp was stumped on several questions in the Press Club Debate and the questions came from reporters not the AG Community.

Karen began the fight for family values when she worked for Marilyn Quayle. Remember the ridicule and scorn heaped on Quayle by the press when he mentioned the Murphy Brown show?

Karen has vision for the SOS office. I liked her idea about checking the voter rolls to make sure only U.S. citizens are registered to vote. She has other great ideas.

Debbie, why do you think candidates should get a pass on their records? You make choices in life, and you have to live with choices. Poor Gary and his supporters were just not prepared for this. They thought Gary was going to walk through this thing and everyone was going to ignore his record and stand aside and allow this liberal special interest lobbyist to run on by in sheeps clothing, but it didnt happen! I am pround of Brian Kemp for bringing the truth out about Gary Black. Debbie, this isnt negative campaigning. Bringing out the TRUTH is HONEST campaigning. Deal with it. This isn’t preschool, opponents in campaigns are not trying to become friends.

I got 2 calls from Republican Party leaders this weekend urging that Georgia Republ;ican oppose Gary Black. It was pretty strong I thought. Bringing out the fact that he admitted to the press that he voted for a liberal dem for pres and opposes cutting wasteful spending and that he is a special interest lobbyist.

  5. ConservativeFire says:

Yeah, I got those too! Pretty strong. I have not seen anything in the mail or otherwise from Gary Black. Some of my democrat friends said they got some response call from Gary talking about he is a poor defenseless cattle shower from his family farm in commerce where he lives with his two agriculture teenagers. Weak.

One of those Kemp recording was from Marilyn Gilhuly, wasn’t she the Lead Grassroots coordinator for Sonny Perdue in 2002, Debbie? Pretty strong.

Frankly, after the defeat of Lobbyist Ralph Reed, one would think that all one really has to do is hammer Gary Black on his slick lobbyist past and connections.

HJ Bailey-“why do you think candidates should get a pass on their records? You make choices in life, and you have to live with choices”

Maybe your boy kemp could learn a lesson or two from your own words. when confronted about his own democratic voting record on saturday, he couldn’t even REMEMBER how many democratic primaries he voted in.

Let me give you a lesson in party political methods and strategies-
Cross-over voting- It occurs when there is no real chance or hope for one’s own party to have chance at winning an elected position OR when one’s own party has the upper hand and voting against the frontrunner in the opposing party will lessen his chances of winning their nomination.
This is what occured when gary voted in the democratic primary.

This is the address for the RNC headquarters. They posses quite knowledgable information on voting and political strategies as it is their job to ensure officials get elected from their party. I highly reccomend you talk to them and discuss this phenomenon you seem to have never heard of called cross-over voting. You seem to have a lot to learn about political means and methods and i hope for your sake you take advantage of this opportunity.

I think the fact remains the same that Gary black, like jack abramoff, is a special interest lobbyist. But unlike abramoff, black is a liberal democrat. And he opposes cutting wasteful spending and wants to raise spending. His lies have been confronted and all black supporters can do is bitch and assault Kemp supporters and call and threaten them. Gary can attempt to lie and hide himself as a cattle farmer and a conservative but be ware of the double faced snake.

Go Kemp! Conservative republicans to victory!!

  9. Bud says:

    Easy. Gary Black=Jack Abramoff.

Both are special interest lobbyists and Gary black is a sell out that will sell Georgia out to his friends.

  10. Bud says:

    Waterboy=Gary black heifer.

How does it feel having a special inappropriate realtionship with Gary black.

Gary black is a liberal democrat special interest lobbyist who wants to raise spending which raise our taxes and sell out the people of Georgia.

    Gary Black equals sell out!!

  11. debbie0040 says:

Bill Simon and Marilyn Gilhuly on the same team, now that is funny !!!

You Kemp supporters that criticize Black for voting in the Democratic Primary are plain out old hypocrites. You give Kemp a pass for it. It is ok for Kemp to but not Gary. Gary was an active part of the 2004 Bush Cheney Farm Team and even has a photo with Bush because of his support. Does Kemp have a photo with Bush?

Gary has a bunch of CONSERVATIVES supporting him . They wouldn’t support liberals. Go peddle your bs elsewhere, nobody is buying it. But then again, it has become obvious that neither Kemp nor his supporters care about the truth…

    From the Political Insider:

“State Sen. Brian Kemp of Athens has raised $156,670 to get himself through the run-off, compared to $138,139 raised by agri-business lobbyist Gary Black of Commerce. But Kemp’s total includes a $50,000 personal loan.

In this race to become the champion of Georgia farmers, the amounts are less important than the source of the cash.

For the run-off, Black was able to line up cash from Michael Bowers ($1,000), a confidant of Gov. Sonny Perdue; U.S. Rep. John Linder ($3,000), dean of the Georgia congressional delegation; and the Loose Group ($3,000), a collection of wealthy and very conservative Republicans.

For what it’s worth, Black also was the beneficiary of a $1,500 in-kind contribution from Critter magazine.”

Critter Magazine, fyi, is put out by animal rescue groups and carries weight in the rescue community. I used to be heavily involved with animal rescue and this group very rarely gets involved politically. They like Gary.

Gary has been a lobbyist for Agri business for over 25 years. He is the best qualified for AG Commissioner. Brian could not even answer tough questions abouit Agriculture during the Press Club Debate form reporters. How well do you think he would do on the campaign trail answering questions from famers? They would laugh and ridicule him and end up voting for Irvin.

  12. debbie0040 says:

Conservative fire, Marilyn Gilhuly is not supporting Sonny Perdue this time. She campaigned heavily for the flag guy . Marilyn and Perdue had a big falling out. Marilyn is very active with the Southern Heritage groups now.

  13. whitemalevoters says:

    Hey Waterboy,

Didn’t we tell you to go back to the field house and get white male voters some damn gatorade?!?

What are you still doing around here, boy? We’ll keep your spot on the sidelines warm for you while you’re gone. Now git!

  14. SOUTHERNCOMFORT says:

Debbie,my what short memories we have, how about when ol Ralphie wrote himself a 500k check? You did’nt have a problem with that. Kemp by 4 points!!!

  15. debbie0040 says:

SoCo, I don’t have a problem with Kemp doing that. I think it is interesting about Gary’s donors. Especially the “Loose Group”.

  16. Bud says:

Yeah, well, Marilyn is still well known, she just got smart in a lot of ways.

Comfort, good to see you back on here.

Who gives a shit about the loose group? Money is money is money.

Vote no to liberal lobbyist Gary Black!!

  17. bowersville says:

It’s time to punch back. If anybody has affidavits on early 90’s behavior contrary to pro-family values it’s time to use it.

  18. Bill Simon says:

I’ll bet some of the Loose Group was also for Casey Cagle. I guess that means they would have to be both very wealthy and very gay Republicans according to Debbie’s logic.

  19. debbie0040 says:

Bud, Kemp supporters and the Kemp campaign call Gary a liberal lobbyist. They are also calling the folks he lobbied for liberal in doing so.

Gary has lobbied for farmers and the Agri Business community. I am sure they are thrilled with the liberal label you and the Kemp Campaign have assigned to them…

Bud, are you a Kemp supporter, saying it is smart not to support Perdue for Governor? Does Brian feel that way?

  20. debbie0040 says:

It kills me that Brian Kemp accuses Gary of not being a conservative Republican, then uses someone in automated phone calls that is opposed to Sonny Perdue. Marilyn Gilhuly hates Perdue and makes it known.

Very hypocritical for the Kemp campaign…

  21. SOUTHERNCOMFORT says:

Kemp recieived money from the 159 GROUP which would counter the LOOSE GROUP and might add it’s a bigger group and more energized. Black is just too soft Kemp’s the guy! 4 points BOOK IT BABY!!1

  22. whitemalevoters says:

    Debbie,

Unlike our gramatically challenged compatriot, SOUTHERNCOMFORT, We do not have our hands on “the pulse”. However, we do believe that Bill Stephens will walk away with a win on Tuesday night. We estimate that he will win by 10-15 points–EASY. You see, white male voters had a plan. We planned to give Karen Handel enough votes that it would lure her into a false sense of security. Ha ha ha. She’s in for a surprise though, because on Tuesday, all white male voters who voted for her will change their vote and cast it for the only TRUE white male voter left in the race.

    Stephens ’06!

  23. SOUTHERNCOMFORT says:

Debbie I’m supporting Stephens and the pulse says too close to call. Neither candidate will win with a mandate. WMV not challenged, just do not take time to edit. On boards , it’s substance not presentation.
