Scott Holcomb Endorsement

Generaly Wesley Clark has endorsed veteran Scott Holcomb in the Democratic Primary for Secretary of State.

Holcomb, and everyone else for that matter, in the SOS race is outmatched financially by Shyam Reddy, but I think he has just about the best poltical ad in Georgia this season so far. Scroll down for that one.

It’s a good, concise, straight-to-the-point ad. As far as “Weasley” Clark goes, I served under (figuratively, not literally, Demonbeck) him for a brief time during a deployment. Between that and the Dem primary in ’04 (in which he was endorsed by Michael Moore), I really don’t have anything else to say about him. Wouldn’t win my vote no matter what.

    Erick,
I think it’s very intentional. It pains me to actually agree with Tammi, but he is barely seen in the ad.

Looking at the disclosures Reddy is the only dem that can afford to do any kind of media buy that would have an impact. I still think it’s a run-off.

Wesley Clark received 4,247 (0.7%) votes in the GA Dem Presidential Primary. Woo Hoo, Private Holcomb – that kind of endorsement power will definetely push you to the forefront in a crowded field.

    Erick and 4ofSpades,

As much it also pains me to agree with 4of, I also think it is probably an intentional move.

It was really something I just noticed about the second time I watched it.

Clark is a significant endorsement. Yes, Clark didn’t poll in the Georgia primary, but that was because he was basically out of the race at that point (can someone clarify, had he officially dropped out at that point). I actually worked on Clark’s campaign briefly, he was my favorite candidate, and I didn’t vote for him in Georgia because his campaign was over then.
