I Told You

I said the other day I felt like momentum had shifted toward Cagle in the Lt. Gov. race. All my Reed friends told me, “No way.

  1. The Busdriver says:

Good thing the Marianas uses the American dollars or else Ralph would get hammered on the exchange rate.

  2. HSC Republican says:

I think Reed is in trouble, why else would he load himself $500,000! I think people do not want to give money to a crook! Jack gave him enough to last a life time!

  3. The Busdriver says:

Yes, the reports are online, but the Ethics site can only handle 3 visitors at a time. We should all be able to view the reports sometime in September after all the traffic dies down.

  4. BB says:

Someone should file an ethics complaint against the ethics board for making the reports impossible to download. Whose idea was it again to move this from the SecState site???

  5. George Allen 08 says:

For those able to download the form (or the half dozen Cagle staffers routinely posting on here)-

Did Cagle put in any of his own money?

  6. HSC Republican says:

I think Ralph would use any name right about now….they all sound nicer then Ralph Reed! Ralph Reed is in trouble because people know he stands for greed and coruption! He also puts his values on the back burner to make a buck! And that buch goes stright to his dying campaign for Lt. Gov! Call Ralph now and tell him the Lt. Gov’s Office is NOT FOR SALE!

  7. HSC Republican says:

I think the next 7 days might be the worse in poor Ralph’s life….then he will be gone forever!

  8. George Allen 08 says:

    Can anyone answer my question?

Also, who’s up in Cash on Hand? Didn’t see that in the Cagle press release.

  9. jacewalden says:

It’s kind of funny that this is the 18th post, and there still hasn’t been a sign of a Reed supporter on this thread…

Could it be because this disclosure wasn’t included in his latest talking points memo?

Face it. Reed is 6 days 20 hours 11 minutes and 30 seconds away from being at the end of his political career.

Too bad it lasted as long as it did.

  10. BahamaBoy says:

Yeah! Where’s Debbie? Surely there’s a way to spin Reed’s decision to put in his own money, which he earned as a private citizen (unlike Cagle who profited 900 percent; 900 percent; 900 percent . . .) Gosh, if I hear that 900 percent stuff one more time I think I’m gonna puke.

Come out, come out, wherever you are Debbie.

  11. HSC Republican says:

George Allen 08….I would anwser you question but I can not log onto the website. My guess would be he did not use his own money because he would not send out a press release talking about Reed if he had.

  12. Demonbeck says:

It takes a little time to teach a parrot to say something new…

    Debbie wants a cracker. RAWK!

  13. jacewalden says:

ANY Reed supporter. Bring it. How is it that “Millionare” Casey Cagle is being beat out in personal contributions by middle-class Ralph Reed? How could Ralph possibly afford to contribute 1/2 million dollars into his campaign.

OH! That’s Right! He’s a lying, cheating, pathetic scum of a human being who is using dirty money.

    Oh the Irony!

  14. BahamaBoy says:

Reed is so confident of victory, that he decided not to push his supporters for anymore contributions. He elected to pony up a half million dollars so he could finish off Cagle and restore his sterling reputation at the “right hand of God.”

“Millionaire” Cagle better watch out. Reed plans to pull ahead this week and convince the Republican voters that he has what it takes to run the Senate. His experience with Indian tribes and the Northern Marianas Islands make him superbly qualified. He didn’t even need to read the Interior Department report on NMI, which documented that Chinese female workers were subject to forced abortions and that women and children were subject to forced prostitution in the local sex-tourism industry. No, his friend Abramoff assured him otherwise, allowing Reed to write in his lobbying mailings that those Chinese workers were “exposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ” while on the islands, and many “are converted to the Christian faith and return to China with Bibles in hand.”

Damn the accusations. Full speed ahead!

  16. Bill B. says:

The Cagle Press Release (and the AJC campaign team) suggest Reed and Cagle are tied in FR. But both fail to disclose or notice the “crucial

  17. GAWire says:

Oh, boy … I have missed my daily dosage of Peach Pundit as I have been out of the country. This post and this news more than makes up for it!!!!!

Ok, here’s the thing, though, folks. I am glad that most Peach Pundits do not represent the voting majority, because the cocky countdown-til-Ralph-is-out-of-a-job attitude isn’t a good thing. Let’s be smart here, guys!

This is a call to action. Remember, turnout is going to determine this race, and Ralph has put practically all their money to their GOTV operation.

So, Cagle can have all the money in the world and still not be able to turnout.

I’m not trying to burst anyone’s fun, here. I loved the fact that the Reed campaign is flopping around like a soon to be filet’d flounder. However, I ahve seen flopping campaigns win. So, let’s make sure we can pull this thing out for Casey.

Also, remember that most voters don’t have a clue what has been raised and done behind the scenes. It all comes down to the numbers – the registration numbers. That race is still too close to call. We might have whipped up on Ralph in fundraising (which gives me a warm feeling inside, especially after hearing that one chick from DC talk about Ralph’s amazing fundraising taps, and the fact that I said practically 700 million times over the last few months that Ralph tapped out his donors early on), but GOTV is a different ballgame. And, let’s not kid ourselves … Ralph has a strong, albeit, small base (of uninformed Republicans/Conservatives), and if they turn out and our people do not, we could still be in trouble.

So, as I sit in this undisclosed third-world country airport tapping into the only free wireless internet in the region, I want to send a congrats to Team Cagle, who did a great job this period, but also want to say that Cagle people should be working NON-STOP for the next few days, so we can win this for Casey, the best candidate for Lt. Governor.

P.S. To all those people who got upset about my last front page post on Ralph: ESBAM (look it up)!

  18. The Busdriver says:

Yeah, Ralphie has a slight advantage in cash-on-hand. Know why? ‘Cause Ralphie gave himself 500k. Moron.

  19. GAWire says:

Uh, Bill B, so I guess what you’re saying is that Ralph raised all that money to keep it in the bank for himself … kind of the same way he did it with the indian tribes!

  20. Bill B. says:

A moron is one who thinks a 2:1 advantage is a “slight” advantage. Take off the blinders and put put out your stop sign, Busdriver, the Cagle race is almost out!

Hey, are you Cagle’s “shortbus” driver?

  21. Romegaguy says:

Let’s see… Ralph has been stagnant in recent polls while Casey has been catching up with him. Casey outraised Ralph in the last quarter… Yeah I would think the momentum has definitely moved in favor of Casey. A moron, Bill B, is one who cant see that they are on a sinking ship.

By the way, what ever happened to the endorsement by the White House for Ralph? Debbie can you help us with this?
