Burgess Under the Radar

While Stebin Horne is covering Macon in billboards, 4×4’s, and yard signs and Allen Peake is blanketing the airwaves, Becky Burgess has resorted to some under the radar campaigning.

I just received an automated phone call from Becky urging me to call her on her cell phone and let her know what I think about local issues, etc. You can hear the call here. I’ve left it unedited except for deleting her cell number.

Yes, I let the call go to voicemail thinking it was a telemarketer, and then extracted the wave fail, deleted the number, and converted it to an mp3 for your listening pleasure.

Cause I’m a political junkie.

And I only got the call 4:56 p.m.

Hmmm…I have Sickular as my cellphone service, and I have a rather interesting voicemail that I saved from earlier today. How do I retrieve that and convert it into a WAV file for spreading around, if it comes to me needing to do that to settle a debt?

Finally on my way home from a leisurely memorial day week from the asphalt that is the beach on SSI. Stopped at the Krystal off of Arkwright road. Behind it, There is a little piece of no man’s land or a gold mine mine for political sign planter. You can actually see the sign war escalating. I decided to tour town briefly, it seems Stebin has no qualms with planting a 4×4 or 4×8 in the public right of way, while Allen Peake seems to have them mostly in front commercial property. I concede that Stebin does have some that seem like he had permission to put them there. But really I could give a rip about a macon/bibb primary house race. Erick, will you create a Cherry Blossom Pundit somewhere else?

Macon is awesome and takes 10 minutes to drive around it. Unless you hit every crossroad between Warner Robins and the Academy.
