Cathy Cox lost the primary to Mark Taylor this week. Mark my words.

I haven’t seen any Cathy Cox bumper stickers in Decatur since Wednesday … I used to see one on every other car.

Good move for the general, but not the primary. Cathy just pushed away more of the metro area Dems.

I wonder if she will be voting for Karen or Bill.

Cathy Cox is losing her base (of gay support), and they are so off the reservation that they have taken to lying about WHERE she is. If there is anything people hate, its politicians who keep changing their positions to appease different audiences. Look at this Buzz from the AJC yesterday:

While more than one person has confirmed that they actually saw her there, her campaign is trying to backtrack and lie about it. You can’t be all things to all people. And you certainly can’t think that you can get away being in one place and saying you were somewhere different. That’s just insane. Kinda like the little diddy where she said she created HOPE with the republicans, even though she wasn’t even in office at the time!

That last paragraph gives me some hope that our “Democratic Friends” will cross-over vote for Cagle:)

Decaturguy, I agree and Ive been saying it for weeks…Cox was a flash in the pan hope for Democrats, most her support in the polls came from Georgian’s that liked the idea of a woman Governor yet didn’t look at the issues…she has over the past few weeks displayed her self as somewhat of a nieve candidate and her rehtoric is bland “bipartisan” “every Georgian counts”..thats great, but where is the substance and ideas?? and now this backlash from the gay community, I think Mark Taylor is rising to the top and the next poll will show him ahead of her by a decent margin….and he will win the Primary.
however, I feel the need to reiterate that I am 100% behind Governor Perdue and have no doubt that he will be re-elected in November.
