Medicare Deadline & Tom Price

There is a Medicare deadline that would impose penalties on those who have not picked a plan when the deadline passes. Georgia’s Tom Price gets a nod from the New York Times today for his efforts to get the penalty waived.

    The real issue is this is another big government plan with no money to pay for it.The bottom line is this was a give away program written by K-Street lobbyist. Why not talk about real reform,instead of selling out Seniors and our kids for campaign donations.

    The problem is on the congressional right.

    Last week I had an interesting experience. I was asked to testify before a hearing of the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. I made it clear to them that I was a Republican, but they said they wanted me anyway. I suppose they knew that I have become very disturbed by the Republican party’s fiscal policy and they presumed that I would attack it. I did not disappoint them.

    I explained that I am not particularly a deficit hawk and that the size of the Bush tax cuts does not bother me. What really bothers me is the orgy of spending by Republicans. It is just appalling that the recent highway bill had 5,000 “earmarks

    First off, Im just going to ignore the previous comment because it is not worth the time it takes to respond, Id just like to say Im not a bit suprised who the 1st one was to respond to this post was.

    Secondly and more importantly, I am very proud of the Congressman, the late penalty on the Medicare Deadline was absolutley ridiculous and the first place..and Im glad to have a man representing the district I live in who cares about the Sebior citizens more than the pharmasuitical companies and he’s a doctor to top it off…he deserves the compliments. He’s doing a great job!
