Marshall parts with Dems on Lobbying Reform

CQ Today is reporting on Nancy Pelosi’s “lack of excitment” (for lack of better terms) related to the eight Dems that voted with the GOP on yesterday’s Lobbying Reform bill.

One of those eight Dems was Jim Marshall.  He’s making it tough on us to take back that seat!  It’s bad when your opponent is looking more conservative, and having Nancy Pelosi upset with you is one of the best things you can ask for in the GA 8th!

I’m proud of Sens. Chambliss and Isakson for being among the 21 nays cast in opposition to the “Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror, and Hurricane Recovery, 2006”.

Thanks to the ultra creepy Personal Financial Disclosure’s that I’ve only recently discovered on the Ethics web site — I’ve discovered the following info (none of which applies to Jim Marshall — sorry, off topic again)

Andy Young supports Wal-Mart and “Wal Mark” Taylor (ha – that video was funny) — Taylor has more than 10K STOCK in Wal Mart – so of course he wants Andy Young to pitch Wally World – DUH!

Sunny The Guv is worth (NET WORTH) over $6 million
Ralphie Read is worth over $4 million
Kasey Kagle is worth 1.7 million
Wal Mark Taylor is worth .9 million
K-Ran Hand-El is worth .8million (WOW FCCC pays a LOT huh – or maybe it’s investments – I forgot to look)
Cathee Kox net worth – .43 million

I think it’s really scary and odd that this info is listed online — but I also kind of like it! (Odd – yes I know)

What I would like to know – who can explain it – why are the Statewide candidates required to file their “NEt Worth” chart, but it appears that House/Senate and Judicial positions don’t have to set forth this expressed “Net Worth” — Anyone know why this is case, or maybe I’m missing something else here.
