1. Rusty says:

This victim complex among Republicans really cracks me up. It’s very Freudian. Republicans run everything right now, and yet somehow you think (or disingenuously pretend to think) there’s a vast conspiracy to stomp Republican views into the ground. Cue the world’s tiniest violin.

  2. Bill Simon says:

Here’s what is also disappointing: The misspelling of the word “disappointing” by the UGA Republicans in a publicized letter.

“This is both enlightening and dissapointing.”

  3. buzzbrockway says:

Our world domination is not yet complete. We don’t control Hollywood, nor the Big Media, and we certainly don’t control College campuses. Incidently, the three areas of left-wing dominance I mentioned attempt to shape how people think, which is why the battle must still be waged against the forces of evil…er I mean the forces of liberalism. đŸ™‚

  4. Rusty says:

While Republicans don’t control Big Media outright, the phony victim complex has kowtowed it into a state of journalistic paralysis.

Big Media: Bush elector Parker J. Bena had sex with three-year-old children and was convicted of possessing child pornography.

101st Fighting Keyboards/Fox News/Pajamas Media/Hannity/Rush/Drudge/etc etc etc: The liberal media is out to destroy the president! Why aren’t they reporting the good news? There are 70,000 children in Iraq who weren’t molested today!

Big Media: I’m so sorry, how could we have forgotten to report that 70,000 children weren’t molested today? That is good news.

  5. Skeptical says:

You don’t control Big Media? Ok, now that I’ve picked myself up off the floor, who do you think owns the big media corporations? It certainly isn’t those in the legions of liberalism. Do your homework before you show us all your intelligence there buzz.

  6. Fuzzyslippers says:

Anyone that thinks that the majority of “mainstream” media doesn’t lean a little left is either deslusional, lying to themselves, or is so far left of the spectrum that the entire media seems to be Wolfowitz.

Are they kowtowing now? Yes, I would agree with that to some degree. But I would add two points.

    1. The “mainstream” is so hungry for every story that paints this administration in a bad light that they sometimes completely screw the pooch. To those of us in reality….it’s very transparent. Almost as transparent as Fox news’ incessant cheerleading for this administration. I wonder if Fox is doing it because they believe in the same ideals, or if they just feel they need to “balance” things out. I don’t know. They don’t return my phone calls.

    2. The ultimate Kowtowing factor is ratings and money. When a network news broadcast/news magazine/etc. gets it blatantly wrong, it ruins the party for everybody. The sheep (both sides) will switch to other means to get their information. The trust is gone. It’s proven. Why the hell do you think CBS is hiring that moonbat Couric? They don’t care about the news, getting it right, or integrity. They care about Rita from accounting tuning in hoping that Couric will spill some eyeliner secrets during her segment on the Palestinian State. Hell, they probably are PRAYING she does a story on a cat fashion show. No wonder Rooney says he doesn’t know anyone happy about her coming.

Money….it makes the world go round.

  7. Fuzzyslippers says:

The mainstream media was dragged into trashing Bill Clinton for his foibles. I don’t even know how you could argue this. Most stories on his issues weren’t even broken by MM. Hell, Clinton and his controversies created Drudge and the soon to be copycats in cyberspace. The refusal of MM to cover the stories is what made internet news/gossip take off. To some degree it still dictates what will be front page news. I can go to Drudge/Fark/Kos and pretty much tell what is going to get play in the news/newspapers the following day by reactions to news that comes up.

Vernon Jones is an easy target. He should be trashed for the crap that he pulls from time to time. Everybody piles on him. Not unlike McKinney. They both somewhat deserve it. Stupid is as stupid does.

BTW, “they” (MM) have never looked very Republican. Ever. I’m not even a conservative and I believe this.

I pray to God that there is a Democratic president in 08′ to put an end to this madness brought about by absolute power/stupidity.

I would continue but that pic of you with the automatic assault rifle scares the creamy filling out of me.
