Poor Cynthia, she wasn’t expecting an interview about what happened. Something went wrong with the magic race card, when you talk about Harry Belafonte, Danny Glover, and how racist this country is you’re supposed to be excused from having a logical conversation regarding the facts. Who does that Soledad O’brien think she is – Sean Hannity?

To quote Stephen Colbert: I couldn’t have said it better myself, except for when I said it better myself in the other thread about McKinney. So to back up what you just said, I’ll say my piece again:

If an ultra-liberal like McKinney is busted out on CNN, that’s when she should decide its time to throw in the towel. Anyone on CNN saying anything bad about McKinney is like Sean Hannity talking bad about Tom Delay–if it happens, you know the s*** has hit the fan.

So I’m with you Atlantaman. McKinney is an embarrasment to this state. She is doing an injustice to the civil rights movement by using baseless accusations of racism to press her own personal agenda. PLEASE PEOPLE! If you are in her district, vote her out! It kills me that I can’t vote her out (I live too far north). Someone in DeKalb, please step up and sponsor me in the upcoming election!

Talked via email, briefly, with Brad Hughes who is running against Sanford Bishop in the 2nd District. Seems like a nice guy. I’m sure it isn’t easy running against such an entrenched incumbent, so I think he could use as much support as we can muster.
