Zach Smith Challenging Sharon Cooper

Zach Smith, a senior History student at Kennesaw State University has decided to run against Sharon Cooper, the House GOP Caucus Leader. KSU’s newspaper has the whole story.

With apologies to Tommy, Zach is talking about biodiesel too. And thanks Tommy for the tip.

Now the reporter did have this one very curious paragraph:

To campaign, Smith is talking with a variety of groups in Cobb County, regardless of partisanship, such as the East Cobb Democratic Alliance.

    I know Zach. As I read the article today I found myself wondering what way he was going to come at it from.

    When we had talked about him running a few months back he was talking about challenging Matt Dollar. I guess he had his State Rep mixed up.

    He is very liberal and the chairman of the College Democrats at Kennesaw State.

    Beth, I have only ever made the case for one race that Robert was thinking of jumping into. Not sure why your asking me, those rumors come from other places.

    Sides, he already has ten years of experience in the State Senate, why would he want to run for State Rep. 🙂

    I know it’s a student paper, but still feel it was major omission not to have asked/mentioned which primary he plans on running in.
