1. Jack S says:

I just watched Ralph’s appearance. He was opposite a Democrat consultant talking about Cheney. Of course, Ralph did good in representing the standard GOP line.

But then the Dem consultant said that Republicans have a problem with telling the truth on everything from the VP to Jack Abramoff and she went on to say that Ralph’s LG campaign was sinking in GA becuase of his unwillingness to tell the truth about his involvement in the Abramoff scandal.

Even in a friendly interview on Fox News Ralph gets hammered for being a liar and a hypocrite.

He’s an embarrassment to our entire party.

  2. larry smith says:

What I can’t figure out is why Ralph would think anyone cares that he managed to scrape up 15 seconds of fame on cable television. I mean, what kind of adult sends around an email saying, “Look at me … I’m on TV!”

You’d think he was a kid acting in his first school play or something.

  3. Maurice Atkinson says:

This is the second Fox appearance since his campaign. For some it’s “star power”. Sounds like he was expecting a gimme but got broad sided. At some point, he has to answer the hard questions instead of the same canned response.

  4. JulieSMI says:

    Larry – great one!

you’re right on the money. but what do we expect from someone who has retreated to only hanging out with college republicans so he can still feel important.

  5. GAWire says:

It is inevitable that everytime Ralph will do an interview – regardless of the topic of discussion (ie this time Cheney) – he is going to get blasted in one way or another about his associations with the Abramoff scandal. The Reed campaign would be better off hiding everytime he does an interview b/c of this fact, rather than announcing it.

You know, typically for down-ticket races (and all races really), we will say that all media is good media, even if it is negative b/c it gets name ID and recognition out there. The only time this isn’t true is when the widespread name ID the candidate already has is ALL NEGATIVE and the media is only going to highlight that.
