We’ve all thought about it

C’mon, admit it – I know everybody out there at one point has had the thought of putting a dummy in the passenger seat in order to “legally” use the HOV lane. The difference between you and the fella’ in this story out of California is that you realized just how rediculous that ideas was . . .

The California Highway Patrol gave Kevin Morgan, 28, of Petaluma, a $351 citation for driving in a high occupancy vehicle or “HOV” lane with a kickboxing dummy propped in the passenger seat. The dummy was wearing a Miami Dolphins windbreaker and a baseball cap but Officer Will Thompson noticed that the “passenger” had no legs.

No, this doesn’t have anything to do with Georgia politics, but I thought it would make for a good laugh on Friday afternoon.

Altough this has nothing to do with the topic, thought some of you might enjoy what NASCAR.com had to say about Sonny and the race last weekend…

… couldn’t the governor get a hot pass?
As Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia was giving the command to start engines Sunday, I couldn’t help but notice he was wearing a cold pass around his neck. This would get him entrance to the garage area, but not at all times.
I’ve seen some people get hot passes — all access garage passes — that I’m certain couldn’t spell “hot pass” without looking down. Did the governor really not have the right connections?
