Kingston on Colbert

I finally got to see it. Wow! I laughed till I cried. I hope that Kingston was intentionally trying to play the straight man to Colbert’s Bill O’Reilly impression.

Kingston made the mistake that so many in the same position make. He came across as too serious — as if he was taking a clearly nonsensical interview very seriously. His staff or the Colbert producers might have told him to do that, but he should not have. There was lots of laughing, but it came across as at his expense.

Again though, major props to Kingston for doing that. He came off as a nice, down to earth Southern guy and real — not like your typical Washington prima dona. And yeah Jack, that must’ve been a dude in that dress.

Augustine wasn’t impressed.
