The “Evil Mary Perdue”

Thanks to Booray for mentioning this story that is on AJC.com today involving Mary Perdue’s response to the accusations that the Governor and his wife were using money set aside for the Governor’s Mansion to reward political allies.

Where did these accusations come from, you ask? Well, it seems as though the Georgia Democratic Party’s very own Chairman, Bobby Kahn is the source. According to a release issued by the GA Democratic Party, Kahn is referring to the Mansion Fund as Sonny’s “political slush fund” used “for the benefit and enjoyment of the government officials who raised it.

GAW,People can say want they want about some of Sonny’s actions, but only someone like Kahn would go after Mary Perdue. He is grandstanding and trying to get all the attention he can for both himself and his liberal whinning buddies in the Democratic Party.Mary Perdue has proven to be an excellent First Lady for Georgia and only a weasel like Kahn would not agree.

I do have to admit – these accusations seem like a stretch . . . even for Dems. If nothing else, it makes them seem like they don’t have anything else to go on!

But what did look bad in the paper and made Mary Perdue look pretentious was her holding up that rug and saying it is frayed as an example of why she needs 350,000 dollars to fix the Governor’s mansion.

This story has no legs and I think is just an example of why Bobby Kahn is an ineffective leader of the state Democratic Party. With everything else going on, this is what we make a big deal over?
