With nearly a quarter of all U.S. military deaths in Iraq caused by roadside bomb explosions, researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology are stepping up to keep soldiers safer.Researchers have devised a new design for military combat vehicles that would make them incredibly resilient against bombings. The concept vehicle was produced from a Ford F-350 pickup truck, and may soon be helping save even more lives of U.S. combat troops in Iraq.

Great news from GA Tech. I hope it works and the Defense Dept is quick to get the new truck to the troops.
