Trouble with the Grassroots

I did not go to the grassroots training in Athens, but I’ve talked to some who did. The word of the day is “worry.” Said one, “There is a palpable sense that we’re doing too little too late.”

Did any of you go? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Received the invite — know a party chair that did too — no one received ANY follow up… Thought it had been cancelled…

If anyone went and has feedback, would be curious to hear it…

I was unable to attend due to a leadership class. However, I had heard that there were roughly 500 or so folks there. From the ones who attended, they said it was good and a lot of useful information.

In defense of the Party, the communication was there. I have received tons of email and written communication about this event. In fact, I received phone calls as well. If you had signed up at http://www.gagop.org you would have received the same info as I.

I am not worrying. We have a strong candidate for Governor and some great candidates for SOS, and equally as interesting LG candidates.

I swear, we look for ways to bash good people in the knees. We must be sadistic or something. The Dems can have a freak for a candidate and those folks know how to rally around them. We try to castrate ours.
