This is my final post before the Independence Day weekend (knock on wood). My purpose is to let all of ya’ll know, who are reading this, that I am honestly and truly not yet convinced of who I will vote for the Lite Gov of Georgia. I defend Ralph for two reasons: one, in order for this forum to be fair and balanced, someone has to speak to balance Bull’s anti-Ralph bluster. Second, I’m calling it like I see it, and from my perspective as a Georgia political insider, this is what I’m seeing. However, I’m still trying to stay balanced, that’s why I’m taking shots at both candidates. However, my defense of Ralph is not at all an indicator of for whom I will vote. I am officially among the masses of the undecided.
Finally, I encourage anyone who reads this before the weekend is over to somehow reach out this weekend to one of our boys (or girls, as the case may be:) overseas, or their families. Our ability to debate these issues on venues such as this one we owe solely to the bravery of the men and women who have given their lives, and ARE GIVING their lives as we speak, to insure our freedom. That’s powerful, and we need to show our appreciation to them any opportunity we get. I’ll venture to say every one of us knows a soldier, or a soldier’s family. Reach out to them and thank them. The price that it costs to be free, in the words of Aaron Tippin, ain’t cheap.
